FOR THOSE OF YOU WEIRDOS WHO DON'T KNOW WHAT IT IS...

Basically, NaNoWriMo is a frantic write-a-thon which takes place during the month of November. The goal: write 50,000 words, no matter how crappy, starting 12:00 on the 1st and ending at 11:59 on the 30th. It really does take more time than one would think, and much more mental effort. But it is a great process--and it really helps if you want to improve upon your writing skills.

I think I'll try to do some WriMo-ing this year. And guess who's going to try and not have a mental breakdown before she hits even 16,000? Yeah, that'd be me, too.

I've got characters and whatnot planned out, but no plot or anything of the like. XD Lol, oh well--I don't think I need one until I actually start. Plus, last year I WAY overplanned, and that didn't help at all.

The only thing is stupid roadblocks getting in my way. :/ It's my grandparent's 50th anniversary this year, and that's wonderous and inspiring, and I don't want to seem like I'm being a concieted little turd, but it kinda has been the high hope of my past few months to have a redo on my WriMo experience of last year. And what do I learn? Yeah, we're going to Puerto Rico during the Thanksgiving holiday...bleh. I love my grandparents, but I hate traveling. I'll be trying to squeeze writing a novel between dealing with my high-strung mom, my dad, my grandparents, and all the running around we'll be doing. I smell some all-nighters on the horizon.
